EU Just Transition Fund Acknowledgment

We are proud to display this acknowledgement in our reception area in recognition of the co-funding received from the Government of Ireland and the European Union under the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021–2027, which made possible the delivery of the Allenwood Campus Wetlands Wastewater Treatment Plant Project.

As the acknowledgment states on the plaque:

The Allenwood Campus Wetlands Wastewater Treatment Plant Project was co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021-2027.

This innovative development represents a key milestone in Allenwood Campus’s commitment to sustainable growth and environmental stewardship. As a critical piece of infrastructure, the wetlands wastewater treatment plant ensures the continued operation and long-term viability of the Campus while providing the capacity required to support future growth and development.

The project not only delivers essential wastewater treatment infrastructure but also provides significant environmental benefits. The wetlands system enhances biodiversity, creates valuable wildlife habitats, and contributes to the creation of attractive, high-quality green spaces throughout the Campus.

Now that the project has been successfully completed, the Board and Management of Allenwood Campus wish to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Government of Ireland, the European Union, and the EU Just Transition Fund for their support and investment in bringing this important initiative to fruition. Their contribution has enabled the delivery of a project that will provide lasting environmental, social, and community benefits for years to come, while securing the future sustainability and growth of Allenwood Campus.
