Our Rooms

We provide age-appropriate rooms designed to support each stage of your child’s early learning and development in a safe, nurturing environment.

Baby Room 

Age: 12–18 months 
Hours: 7.30am–6.30pm 

Our Baby Room offers a calm, caring space where children feel secure and supported as they begin their early learning journey. 

  • Individual settling-in periods tailored to each child 

  • Learning guided by Aistear and Síolta 

  • Sensory and exploratory play including books, messy play, water and sand, painting, outdoor play, and early movement activities 

  • Separate sleep room with routines based on each child’s needs 

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks provided 

Parents provide:  Nappies, wipes, change of clothes, nappy creams, sun cream, wellington boots, and wetsuit.

Wobbler Room 

Age: 18 months–2 years 
Hours: 7.30am–6.30pm

The Wobbler Room supports children as they gain confidence, mobility, and independence. 

  • Flexible settling-in process 

  • Curriculum guided by Aistear and Síolta 

  • Outdoor play, books, construction, messy play, water and sand, and creative art activities 

  • Separate sleep room with routines responsive to each child 

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks provided 

Parents provide: Nappies, wipes, change of clothes, nappy creams, sun cream, wellington boots, and wetsuit.

Toddler Room 

Age: 2–3 years
Hours: 7.30am–6.30pm

As toddlers become more active and social, our programme supports communication, confidence, and cooperative play. 

  • Individual settling-in support 

  • Learning guided by Aistear and Síolta 

  • Role play, construction, songs and stories, art, puzzles, messy play, sand and water, and outdoor games 

  • Daily rest period from 12.00pm–2.00pm 

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks provided 

Parents provide: Nappies, wipes, change of clothes, nappy creams, sun cream, wellington boots, and wetsuit.

Preschool (ECCE) 

Age: From 2 years 8 months 
Hours: 9.30am–12.30pm

Our Preschool operates under the ECCE Programme, providing children with a high-quality, play-based early learning experience. 

  • Fully funded Government programme (3 hours per day, 5 days per week, 38 weeks per year) 

  • Curriculum guided by Aistear and Síolta 

  • Rich indoor and outdoor learning environments 

  • Focus on confidence, independence, curiosity, and school readiness 

  • Healthy snack provided daily 

Parents provide: Change of clothes, sun cream, wellington boots, and wetsuit.

Afterschool 

Age: 4–12 years (separate areas for younger and older children)
Hours: 
Morning: 7.30am–9.00am 
Afternoon: 2.00pm–6.30pm or 3.00pm–6.30pm

Our Afterschool service offers a relaxed, supportive space for children at the end of the school day. 

  • School collection from Scoil Mhuire, Allenwood 

  • Homework support and checking 

  • Outdoor play, arts and crafts, board games, reading and chill-out areas 

  • Electronics available two days per week 

  • Dinner and snack provided
