About Us

Allenwood Campus has deep roots in the local community. Founded in response to the closure of Allenwood’s ESB/Bord na Móna operations, our organisation emerged from a strong community movement determined to create a centre that would champion employment, enterprise, training, and social inclusion. Over the years, Allenwood Campus has become a trusted leader in community mobilisation, with a long-standing commitment to strengthening local resilience and driving sustainable development. Supported by robust governance structures and a proven track record in delivering business, childcare, and community services - as well as managing significant capital projects - our work reflects a deep dedication to integrity, accountability, and meaningful impact. This foundation positions Allenwood Campus to power future growth with confidence and purpose.

A Social Enterprise Powering Community Impact

Allenwood Campus operates as a social enterprise and not-for-profit organisation, reinvesting all surpluses back into the Campus to support continued growth and community benefit. Supported by a range of Government programmes, including the Community Services Programme (CSP), we deliver impactful services across early childhood education and childcare, community initiatives, training and lifelong learning, and enterprise support.

Guided by our 2025–2027 Strategic Plan, we are focused on strengthening financial sustainability, deepening community engagement, supporting our people, maintaining strong governance and operations, improving communication, and advancing environmentally responsible practices.

Together, these priorities ensure Allenwood Campus continues to grow as a resilient, community-focused hub powering positive change.

  • Over the past year I have used the hot-desking service remote working hub in ACDAL. This is a marvellous facility it is quiet, warm, and a bright space which lends itself perfectly to my needs. The ladies on reception are friendly, helpful and most accommodating. It’s amazing how much work I get done when in the hub, as a wedding and funeral celebrant the creative part of my ceremonies are crafted from my home office, as you can imagine there are always distractions in that environment. I would highly recommend The Hub in Allenwood to anyone seeking a quiet space to work. A great price for a great service.

  • I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Allenwood Campus on two occasions now, hosting International Women’s Day events in both 2025 and 2026, and each experience has been exceptional. Cara, the manager at Allenwood Campus, is engaging, progressive, and incredibly easy to work with. From planning through to execution, she brings a calm professionalism and genuine enthusiasm that makes every collaboration seamless and enjoyable. The space itself is always warm, inviting, and full of positive energy. On each occasion, the team has been wonderfully supportive—especially on the day of the events, where the staff go above and beyond to assist with setup and ensure everything runs smoothly. Especially, Alison & Roksana. It is always a privilege and a joy to work in such an environment. I cannot recommend this facility highly enough and truly look forward to continuing the partnership with Allenwood Campus in the future.

  • Since joining the Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC) network, the team at Allenwood Campus has demonstrated real leadership by actively engaging to improve the energy performance of their campus, supporting the wider community with clear and accessible information, and exploring opportunities for community‑owned renewable energy projects. Their commitment reflects the origins of the site itself: a place established to deliver energy solutions that benefit the community. Today, that spirit remains strong as Allenwood Campus continues to play a leading role in the energy transition. We look forward to building on this partnership and supporting their ongoing sustainability journey.
